Do you have experience in the procurement process and the desire to work part time? Portage County has an opportunity for the right person who desires to work in an office setting assisting in various clerical functions of the Purchasing Department. This position will work 4 hours/day, Monday through Friday.
The first review of candidates will occur on Monday, July 16, 2018.

    This is a brief description of the job duties:

    This position is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Department in providing effective and efficient procurement services to Portage County. These functions include, but are not limited to, processing requisitions, auditing procurement card transactions, processing purchase orders, sending out and tracking bids, proposals, and quotes, receiving and arranging delivery of merchandise, assisting County departments with procurement needs, coordinating common use equipment and photocopy room equipment. This position also serves as the receptionist for the Purchasing Department.

    These are the skills we are seeking:

    High school diploma or equivalent required. 
    One year prior office experience required. 
    Purchasing experience preferred.
