Various part time positions available or on call employment is an option.

Description of Duties: The Nurses Aide, under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse performs direct resident care, including the provision of personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, and the documentation and the reporting of those activities.  The Nurses Aide upholds the philosophy of Portage County Health Care Center to provide rehabilitative service necessary for each resident to achieve a maximum level of functioning, the preservation of self worth and dignity.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification as a Nurse’s Aide in Wisconsin
• Ability to meet required state criminal background check
• Be able to maintain composure and cope with stress and frustration, appreciate the dignity of each resident, and keep the confidence cultural, social, and medical conditions
• Current experience as a Nurse’s Aide preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to work with elderly residents
• Ability to complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education per year
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
• Ability to speak, read and write the English language
