Portage County Highway Department has an opening for a Highway Laborer on a limited term basis. The employee must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This is a brief description of the job duties:
 

This limited term position is responsible for the performance of a variety of work of the manual nature related to the maintenance and construction of roads. Work may also extend into the operating of a variety of light and medium level equipment. Generally no supervision is given to other employees and direct supervision is received from a supervisor.

These are the skills we are seeking:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and safe driving record.

Experience working physically demanding duties.

Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
