The position provides public health nurse services including health assessments, counseling, consultation, and other preventive services to individuals, families, and the community. It also provides school health nursing services to the adolescent and teen population. Nursing activities include but are not limited to systematic analysis of health data, care plan development, management of a busy school health room, nursing theory and decision making. Public health duties include a population health assessment of schools, community, education and advocacy, coalition building and collaborating with community partners to promote the health of a community.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license required
• One year nursing experience preferred; public health nursing experience preferred
• Current CPR certification or ability to become CPR certified required
• Must be a licensed driver and have access to an insured vehicle
