This is a brief summary of the job duties:

Under the general supervision of the Caregiver Services Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for the provision of high quality care to frail older adults and adults with disabilities in the Adult Day Center (ADC). Duties include: scheduling, training, supervision and evaluation of ADC Aides, volunteers and students; assessment of individual participants; development and implementation of care plans; coordination of services with social workers, medical providers, transit providers and families; organization of attendance schedules; organization and implementation of individual and group activities in the Center; and provision of education and counseling to individuals and their families.

 

Assist the Caregiver Services Manager to ensure that all State certification standards are met.

These are the skills we are seeking:

Must be at least 21 years of age per state certification standards.

Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, related human services, or recreational or occupational therapy preferred.

At least two years of post high school course work in a related field; health, social or human services, recreational or occupational therapy or equivalent experience, or a license/certification in a related health or human services profession; OR

At least 2 years work experience in a program, or related field, serving a similar population or experience in a therapeutic setting.

Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle for business related travel.

Any combination of education, training, and experience which provide equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
